ONYX Franchise Solutions was founded by Joel and Carly, and built on the principles that anyone can make their dream come true of owning a business or franchise.

Joel

JOEL HAYEK, CO-FOUNDER

Meet Joel Hayek, one of the founders and owners of ONYX Franchise Solutions! Joel has 17 years of experience in franchise and business ownership. He has a passion for coaching and helping people, and has a background in health and fitness. In 2005, Joel owned his own personal training company, which sparked his passion for business.

 

Prior to running his own business, Joel gained experience operating a variety of different franchise companies and began consulting work. It was during this time that Joel learned he loved developing brands and helping people reach their goals and visions, in and outside of the gym.

 

After “wearing all the hats” running his own personal training business, Joel decided he wanted to get back into the franchise industry. With his robust knowledge of running his own business, and years of experience with franchise companies and consulting, Joel finds the process of finding the right franchise for his clients the most rewarding job. 
 
Joel often says that franchising is going into business for yourself, but not by yourself.
His mission is to help people through the journey of reaching their business goals.

CARLY OPHEIM, CO-FOUNDER

Carly Opheim has been in the franchise industry since 2007, and is co-owner and founder of ONYX Franchise Solutions, where she brings her expertise and love for teaching to clients.

Carly graduated college with her degree in education. After years of being a special education teacher, she came across franchising. As a single mom at the time, Carly needed to make a living that her teaching salary could not offer her. So she made a career jump, where her teaching skills were put to work in a different way- teaching others to run their own business.

The Idaho native has experience in consulting, business development, owning and selling different franchise businesses, and revamping struggling businesses. Her love for franchising stems from helping others reach their dreams of having a work life balance, independence, and having trustworthy business relationships.

Carly believes in the “business in a book”, proven system that franchising offers. She still owns her own franchises, and it’s become a family affair with her son, mom and sister joining her.

Freddie Tellez

Freddie Tellez

Freddie has been involved in the franchising industry since 2018 and currently owns two franchise locations. He is eager to leverage his experience to help clients find their place in the franchising world.
 
Freddie graduated with a degree in business management, but has always been passionate about entrepreneurship. Two years after graduating Freddie acquired his first franchise location and his second in 2021. While finding success in turning around these two franchise locations, Freddie realized another passion of his is to empower others to become business owners.
 
Driven by his desire to build meaningful relationships and make a positive impact, Freddie is committed to helping clients navigate the franchising landscape. With a fresh perspective and keen insights into the ever-evolving world of franchising, Freddie approaches each opportunity with enthusiasm and passion. He understands that finding the right fit is crucial for long-term success, and he is dedicated to guiding clients towards opportunities that align with their goals and aspirations.
